This manual gives an overview of the pages and features of the Athlete Agent Registration Office section of the NC Secretary of State’s new SOSKB website. The Athlete Agent Registration Office is responsible for regulating agents for student-athletes in North Carolina.
Article 9 of Chapter 78C of the North Carolina General Statutes (Uniform Athlete Agents Act) regulates the conduct of athlete agents who represent student-athletes in North Carolina. The act requires athlete agents to register with the NC Secretary of State before they can represent student-athletes. Also, the act provides guidelines for athlete agent conduct and imposes penalties for violations.
