Secretary of State Office Will Delay Opening to Public Friday, February 21st until 10 am:With weather predictions of extremely cold temperatures than can cause icing of roadways, the Secretary of State's office will delay opening to the public on Friday, February 21st until 10 am. This is for the safety of the public and our employees. In person transactions will resume at that time. All online services remain available. Thank you.
Beware of Misleading Mailings: With most Annual Reports due in April, this is the season to be on the lookout for misleading mailings. The three most common deceptive mailings we see at the NC Secretary of State’s Office are solicitations to file Annual Reports, Prepare Annual Minutes, or Obtain a Certificate of Existence.
