Partnership Cancellation

• North Carolina and Foreign Partnerships are required to file a Cancelation of Limited Partnership, Limited Liability Partnership or Limited Liability Limited Partnership registration with the NC Department of the Secretary of State.
• General Partnerships are not registered with the North Carolina Department of the Secretary of State and are not required to file cancelations with this office. However, they may need to cancel an assumed name at the local Register of Deeds Office.
• Should you need specific guidance regarding anything other than filing the documents, consult an attorney of your choosing.
